Apple & Noi Thai Cooking is for people with a keen interest in Thai food and Thai culture. Based in Apple’s Retreat “Apple & Noi Thai Cooking” , on the banks of the River Kwai, it offers a unique chance to really get to know Thai people through their food. It is run by Apple and Noi, two women who have set up their own business and are passionate about sharing their knowledge and love of Thai cuisine with their guests. We have our own vegetable garden, and cookery school participants can pick the herbs and vegetables from it before cooking with them. We run a range of courses – from a half day taster, to five days, where you really will learn all there is to know about Thai food!

Learn how to cook traditional Thai food, so you can recreate your favourite dishes once you return home! The course starts with a visit to a local market, where you will learn about the ingredients used in Thai cuisine, and about Thai food culture and how it is changing. you will be guided through three savoury dishes, including our signature massaman curry, and a traditional Thai dessert. The recipes have been handed down over generations, and are typical of the Kanchanaburi region. You will then take a seat in our riverside restaurant to enjoy your hard work!
